    Be sure to register and authorize the software on the Arturia website. Next, connect KeyLab mkII to your computer using the included USB cable. Power is also supplied through this connection. KeyLab mkII is a class-compliant USB device, so its drivers are automatically installed when connecting to a computer.

    Sustain Pedal Input The Sustain pedal input automatically detects the polarity of the pedal when KeyLab mkII is turned on, so it can be used with any standard pedal. It also can be configured to work as a continuously variable pedal from the front panel of the KeyLab mkII [p.42]…

    You should use the included anti ground loop adapter if you experience background noise in your speakers that disappears when you disconnect the KeyLab mkII from your computer or from the CV/Gate connections to your analog gear. A ground loop can also cause problems with pitch tracking when using the KeyLab mkII CV connections with analog synthesizers.

    2.1.1. Changing the MIDI Channel The MIDI channel of the KeyLab mkII can be changed by holding the MIDI Ch button and pressing one of the first 16 keys on the keyboard. After this all controls that have been set to follow the User MIDI Channel will change to that channel.

    The Transpose function lets you shift the pitch of the keyboard chromatically to make it easier to perform in different keys. To transpose the KeyLab mkII hold the Trans button and select the root note of the new key. Notes lower than middle C will transpose down, and notes above middle C will transpose up.

    They will transmit polyphonic aftertouch, which is a highly expressive method of control for your music.     2.12. Faders Like the encoders, KeyLab mkII’s 9 faders have multiple functions that vary depending on the selected mode. Analog Lab mode [p.23] faders 1-8 control the envelope parameters indicated in the blue text under the faders. Fader 9 is reserved for the master volume of the preset.

    Dear Customer,

    This page is designed to get you started with your KeyLab 88 and all the software instruments that are bundled with it. You will learn how to register and use the Arturia instruments, Ableton Live Lite and UVI Grand Piano Model D. Registration also qualifies for technical support, product updates, free online resources for your software and information on new products and updates.

    1 — Log into your MyArturia account

    In order to register your product, you need to be logged into your MyArturia account. Please click here to either log in to your existing account or create a new one.

    2 — Register your instrument

    Click here to register your KeyLab onto your account.

    Select your KeyLab, then enter your Serial Number and Unlock Code found on the QuickStart sheet

    3 — Installation of Analog Lab

    Analog Lab is an extremely powerful software synthesizer solution with almost 6000 classic synthesizer and keyboard sounds from Arturia’s premier vintage analog emulations.

    Analog Lab is provided in its full version to all KeyLab owners.

    1. Download and install the Arturia Software Center (ASC)
    2. Launch the ASC and log in with your MyArturia user account
    3. You will see Analog Lab in the list of downloads

    4 — Installation of the MIDI Control Center

    The MIDI Control Center is a free utility that will let you configure your KeyLab. You will find it in the list of downloads in the Arturia Software Center (ASC).

    5 — Installation of Ableton Live Lite

    1. Go to your My Arturia account page to find your serial number. It will be shown in the «My Products» section of the page.
    2. Download Live Lite from here: Ableton.com/live-lite
    3. Launch Ableton Live Lite.
    4. Live will guide you through an authorization process and you will be asked for a serial number. Use the one obtained above.

    6 — Register and activate your UVI Grand Piano Model D

    If you do not have iLok yet, follow these steps to install iLok.

    1. Go on https://www.ilok.com, download the iLok version for your computer and install it.
      • MAC: http://installers.ilok.com/iloklicensemanager/LicenseSupportInstallerMac.zip
      • PC (32bit): http://installers.ilok.com/iloklicensemanager/LicenseSupportInstallerWin32.zip
      • PC (64bit): http://installers.ilok.com/iloklicensemanager/LicenseSupportInstallerWin64.zip
    2. Start the iLok License Manager and login (if you don’t have an account, follow the link to create an account on iLok https://www.ilok.com/#!resource/video )
    3. Important note: don’t forget to check your mails, confirm your email address and activate your iLok account.

    Get the UVI Workstation

    1. Go to the page http://www.uvi.net/en/software/uvi-workstation.html
    2. Select the “DOWNLOADS” TAB under the presentation:
    3. Download the UVI Workstation 2.5.4 for your System
      • UVI Workstation for Mac OS X
      • UVI Workstation for Windows
      • UVI Workstation for Windows (x64)
    4. Install the UVI-WORKSTATION – follow the steps
    5. Important note: UVI requires the UVI Workstation to play the UFS pack.

    Register and install your UVI Grand Piano Model D

    1. Go to your MyArturia account. You will find the serial number for UVI Grand Piano Model D in the bundled software of your registered KeyLab
    2. Log into (or create) your account on http://www.uvi.net/en/authentication
    3. Fill the “Create your account” formular
    4. Go into your account to register a product: http://www.uvi.net/en/register?module=uvi
    5. Type in the serial number you found on your MyArturia page and enter your iLok user ID
    6. You will receive an email containing the information about the registration
    7. In the meantime, you are redirected to your products page http://www.uvi.net/en/index.php?controller=my-products.
      This page allows you to download your UFS pack for The Grand Piano Model D.
    8. Install it.
    9. After you register your product on UVI.net, a license will be deposited in your iLok account. Launch the iLok License Manager and click on activate.

    Arturia Keylab 88 MKII — это MIDI-клавиатура с 88 клавишами и полновзвеншенной механикой Fatar TP100LR. Модель оборудована 16 пэдами и 9 поворотными регуляторами. В отличие от предыдущей версии в KeyLab MKII есть выходы CV/Gate. Для работы в студии через DAW предусмотрены два выхода modulation CV, Gate, pitch CV, а также вход CV in. 

    Возможно подключение до 5 педалей — сустейн, экспрессия и три педали, которые можно назначать самостоятельно. Доступна работа в трех режимах: Analog Lab mode, DAW mode и пользовательский режим, он позволяет программировать каждый контроллер индивидуально. В режиме DAW управление может осуществляться через протокол Mackie HUI. MIDI-клавиатура поставляется в комплекте с Ableton Live Lite, Analog Lab и инструментами Piano V, Wurli V и Vox Continental V.
