Установка — архив распаковать в корень игры C:GAMESAge of Empires IV с заменой файлов.

Данный архив позволяет запускать игру на процессорах у которых нету поддержки инструкции AVX. На моем древнем процессоре (Pentium Gold G4560) запускается и работает.

Архив содержит два файла amd_ags_x64.dll и wololo.dll

Summary

Receiving an error «Your CPU needs to support AVX instructions to run this game» when playing Age of Empires IV.

Description

The Age of Empires IV game was recently purchased, through XBOX and when trying to open the game, there’s an error saying, «Your CPU Needs to support AVX instructions to run this game».

Resolution

  1. Check if the processor supports it. To find if the processor supports AVX, visit the product specification page (ARK) website.

    Follow these steps:

    • Find the Intel® Processor number.
    • Go to product specification page and enter the number of the intel processors on the search box.
    • Under Advanced Technologies tab, look for Instruction Set Extensions
  2. Verify the game system requirements.
  3. Check the game developer website if there’s a known issue.
Additional information

Receiving this error, means that the hardware is not meeting the minimum technical requirements needed to run the game.

Age of Empires 4 — AVX Not Supported [Solution!]

Just follow this link: https://www.mirrored.to/files/IKIGT6AW/ and download the zip file, extract it and copy & paste it into your game’s folder.

I tried this fix and it worked for me. First, be sure to save the original files if this fix doesn’t work for your game version. Enjoy!

OLD FIX:

It may be unbearably slow for some people, so I strongly recommend to first try the method above, as it gives a much better user experience.

Just follow the instructions below:

  1. Download Intel SDE version that matches your OS from Intel Software Development Emulator Download

  2. Unpack downloaded archive and copy all files to your AOE4 Folder.

After this:

  1. Copy “sde.exe” to Desktop (as a shortcut).

  2. Right click on it, go to Properties and change “Target” path to something like: “D:GamesAge of Empires IV Foldersde.exe” — RelicCardinal.exe.

Change “Target” path to something like:
“D:GamesAge of Empires IV Foldersde.exe” — RelicCardinal.exe

Right click on sde.exe shortcut again and go to Properties → Compatibility and check “Run this program as an administrator”.

Select “Run this program as an administrator”

Run the sde.exe shortcut and the game will start.

Note: The Game will start very slow, but it will work fine if you have a decent CPU and GPU and adjust Game Graphics settings.

Как запустить Age of Empires 4 без AVX?

К сожалению, тут ответ простой – без AVX Age of Empires 4 запустить не получится никак. Для игры понадобится AV X, и обойти это вы не сможете, по крайней мере, такова ситуация на данный момент.

И это все, что можно сказать о том, как запустить Age of Empires 4 без AVX.
