Motorcycles Triumph is the oldest and at the same time the youngest motor brand in Great Britain, founded in 1902 and resumed its activity again in 1991. Triumph
motorcycles produced: classic, cruisers, roadsters, touristic, touristic enduro, sports and retro models.
The history of Triumph dates back to the late nineteenth century. Two British entrepreneurs of German descent, Bettmann and Schulte, opened the production of bicycles under the Triumph brand back
in 1889. A small British town became the birthplace of this company.
Designers from around the world in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries tried to install a motor on a bicycle. Similar attempts were made in England. Already in 1902, the first
Triumph motorcycle was assembled. In the same year, 500 copies of the first model were sold. Five years later, production was doubled. A year later, the famous motorcycle racer Jack Marshall won
the Triumph motorcycle. After that, the company began to increase the production of motorcycles.
Thanks to the support of the Government of England during the First World War, the company was able to introduce advanced technologies of that time into production. Triumph motorcycles had the
highest rates of speed and comfort, as evidenced by increased demand.
In the 20s of the last century, along with the popular bike models, the company masters the production of cars. At the beginning of World War II, a motorcycle was developed for military purposes,
and the production of aircraft engines was also mastered. In the postwar years, a significant portion of Triumph motorcycles manufactured was exported to America.
In the 60s of the last century, competitive Japanese models began to displace the company from the American and European markets. In the next decade, Triumph motorcycle demand began to fall
everywhere. And already in the mid-80s, the company became bankrupt.
In the early 1990s, Triumph’s history is undergoing a rebirth. Fresh ideas and innovative designs allowed to release a line of completely new models in the tourist style. The brand has not
forgotten about the popular heavyweight models of the brutal look in retro style. Subsequent Triumph motorcycles were equipped with ABS brakes and had a high torque value at fairly low revs.
Triumph motorcycles feel time and belonging to different eras and subcultures. The brand successfully produces the main types of motorcycles, including models in retro style.
Classic, sports, tourist and tourist enduro, roadsters and cruisers — each of them has its own design features and specific technical characteristics, thanks to which they make a worthy
competition to American and Japanese competitors.
Since 1990, Triumph Motorcycles has released a large number of models of various classes, featuring an improved modern design and a fresh, innovative design inspired by Japanese brands.
Super-active tourists and sports tourists appeared, Daytona 675, Speed Triple and Sprint ST motorcycles became very popular.
There was a place for the legendary retro-models in the style of cafe-racers and models with a powerful engine and brutal design. All these features manifested themselves in the heavy
350-kilogram Triumph Rocket III with a 2.3-liter engine and 142 horsepower, slightly shocking the audience with a 3-second acceleration to 100 km / h. Pleased with two fresh models of the
«English petrel» — the classic Triumph Thunderbird 2 ABS and its more athletic and fit brother Triumph Thunderbird Storm ABS. The latter surprised with a record torque of 156 Nm
at only 2950 rpm.
* In order to generate a more conclusive search, the motorcycle brand (ie: Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.), the model (CBR, XTZ, DR. etc.) and the cubic capacity (500, 600, 750, etc.) must be separated by space (Correct: Yamaha XTZ 750; Incorrect: YamahaXTZ750).
