Маленький дисплей, время подсветки ограничено — это минус. Слот для карт памяти формата CF считаю плюсом, CF надёжные долговечные носители информации, поэтому сознательно выбрал эту, а не более свежую модель (PMD-661)/ Питание от пальчиковых батареек тоже большой плюс. Их всегда и везде можно купить. Фантомное питание позволяет использовать качественные студийные микрофоны в полевых условиях, дома, в офисе, где угодно. Практически этот рекодер заменил мне профессиональную звуковую карту EMU-0404. Чтобы сделать хорошую запись с помощью такой звуковой карты необходимо карту подключить к компьютеру, микрофон к карте, настроить и запустить ПО на компьютере, настроить саму карту (покрутить регуляторы). Это долго, сложно, требует времени и стационарных условий. С рекодером намного проще, подключил микрофон, нажал кнопку начала записи и вперёд. Слить на комп готовые треки не составляет труда: либо через картридер, либо прямое подключение рекодера к компьютеру посредством USB. Для быстрой оперативной звукозаписи имеются встроенные микрофоны и вообще ничего не нужно подключать. Запись буквально в одно касание. Звучание встроенного динамика чистое, естественное. Испытываю некоторые неудобства с навигацией по меню, не хватает джойстика. Долгое время пользовался рекодером Olympus LS-5, Там отличная навигация, джойстик, но нет фантомного питания для запитывания конденсаторного микрофона. Размер и вес устройства не критичен, бывают рекодеры и побольше — PMD 670, например.
