Общее: KIA SPORTAGE — один из первых небольших корейских внедорожников. Дебют KIA SPORTAGE состоялся в 1994 году. Привлекательный дизайн, комфортабельный салон, компактные размеры и невысокая цена сделали KIA SPORTAGE одним из самых популярных и продаваемых внедорожников своего времени в России, а также некоторых других странах мира. KIA SPORTAGE продержался на конвейере в Корее вплоть до появления KIA SPORTAGE NEW в 2004 году. В некоторых странах мира (в том числе и в России на заводе в Калининграде) KIA SPORTAGE собирают и сейчас.
Кузов, экстерьер: KIA SPORTAGE выпускался с несколькими видами кузовов: трехдверный с короткой базой (2360 мм) или удлинённой базой (2650 мм) и пятидверный кузов типа универсал длиной 4245 мм. Кроме закрытых кузовов в гамму предлагавшихся для KIA SPORTAGE входят короткобазная версия с мягким тентом над задней частью салона (кабриолет) и модель KIA SPORTAGE GRAND (с удлиненным задним свесом). Кузовное разнообразие стало возможным благодаря конструкции шасси KIA SPORTAGE, в основе которого мощная лонжеронная рама. В 1999 г. в семейство KIA SPORTAGE вошел еще один вариант Long (или Wagon) с удлиненным на 120 мм 5-дверным кузовом. Теперь KIA SPORTAGE представляет 3-дверная модель со съемным мягким верхом в зоне задних сидений (Soft Top) и два 5-дверных цельнометаллических универсала на удлиненной базе с кузовами длиной 4315 и 4435 мм. Семейство KIA SPORTAGE модернизировалось дважды. Первый раз в 1996 году, когда поменялась оптика и элементы декора, KIA SPORTAGE «осовременился». Более значительным визуальным (формы панелей кузова KIA SPORTAGE не изменились) изменениям кузов KIA SPORTAGE подвергся в 1999 году. – опять изменилась светотехника, также бампера, накладки салона и некоторые другие декоративные элементы.
Салон, интерьер: KIA SPORTAGE имеет не только оригинальную, достаточно привлекательную внешность, но и комфортабельный салон. Сиденья KIA SPORTAGE довольно удобны. Водительское кресло KIA SPORTAGE снабжено четырьмя регулировками, так что и высокий водитель расположится без проблем, а вот задним пассажирам пространства для ног явно не хватит. Да и ширина заднего сиденья мала, троим пассажирам здесь будет тесно.
Двигатель: Линейка двигателей KIA SPORTAGE состоит из двух бензиновых и двух дизельных двигателей. Первый бензиновый мотор – рядная четверка объемом 2,0 литра, имеющая 2 распредвала и по 4 клапана на цилиндр, он выдает около 140 л.с. мощности. Второй бензиновый мотор – тоже рядная четверка объемом 2,0 литра, имеющая 1 распредвал и по 2 клапана на цилиндр, он выдает около 115 л.с. мощности. Что касается дизельных двигателей, то первый из них имеет объем 2,0 лира и оснащен турбиной, он выдает около 90 л.с. мощности. Второй дизельный двигатель — атмосферный, и при объеме 2,2 литра выдает около 65 л.с.
Подвеска, тормозная система, рулевое управление: Задняя подвеска KIA SPORTAGE — многорычажная, передняя – на двух поперечных рычагах. И спереди, и сзади KIA SPORTAGE имеет стабилизаторы поперечной устойчивости. Высота дорожного просвета (клиренс) KIA SPORTAGE – 200 мм. KIA SPORTAGE нередко оснащается системой ABS, при этом задние тормозные механизмы остаются барабанными (после модернизации 1999 года. Червячный рулевой механизм всегда оборудован гидроусилителем.
Трансмиссия: KIA SPORTAGE – полноводной автомобиль, комплектующийся как механической, так автоматической коробкой переключения передач. KIA SPORTAGE имеет отключаемый привод переднего моста и двухступенчатую раздаточную коробку. Однако возможности трансмиссии сильно ограничены отсутствием межосевого дифференциала, из-за чего полный привод нельзя включать на обычных дорогах, только на некоторое время, на бездорожье и при гололедице. В заднем мосту KIA SPORTAGE может быть установлен самоблокирующийся дифференциал (LSD), который при пробуксовке перекидывает крутящий момент с буксующего колеса на колесо, находящееся в большем контакте с грунтом.
На ходу: KIA SPORTAGE, благодаря конструкции, обладает управляемостью легкового автомобиля, при этом подвеска довольно энергоемка. Что касается динамических характеристик, то они напрямую зависят от установленного на автомобиль двигателя: разгон до 100 км. у мощного 2,0 литрового бензинового мотора занимает около 11 секунд, в то же время 65-сильный турбодизель требует на это 16 секунд.
Эксплуатация: 10-летний опыт эксплуатации автомобилей KIA SPORTAGE лишен каких-либо серьезных недостатков. Долговечность трансмиссии и двигателя KIA SPORTAGE будет зависеть от соблюдения правил эксплуатации: производитель рекомендует замену масла в бензиновых двигателях – каждые 15000 км, дизельных – каждые 7500 км, в автоматической КПП – каждые 30000 км. Также следует обратить внимание, что при замене ремня ГРМ на KIA SPORTAGE на любом из перечисленных выше типов двигателей следует менять и ролики (это избавит, как минимум, от повторной оплаты той же работы через какое-то время, если вы это успеете, в противном же случае заклинивший ролик неминуемо приводит к быстрому обрыву ремня ГРМ и встрече клапанов с поршнями).
Вторые руки: Не смотря на то, что KIA SPORTAGE еще не покинул категорию «проходных» с точки зрения растаможки автомобилей, импорт его с вторичного рынка Кореи в Россию нецелесообразен, поскольку из-за дорогой индивидуальной доставки из Кореи KIA SPORTAGE дешевле можно приобрести на рынке подержанных автомобилей в России.
