Page 10: General Description
Failure to follow the installation instructions and the notes contained therein will lead to all liability being refused by Webasto. The same applies if repairs are carried out incorrectly or with the use of parts other than genuine spare parts. This will result in the heater’s warranty being voided, and therefor also of the General Homologation/ECE Type Approval.

Figure 1: Air Top Evo 40/55 Air Heater Figure 2: Air Top Evo 40/55 Air Heater (without housing) Drive Unit The drive unit consists of the drive motor, the combustion air fan, the heating air fan and the intake housing. The combustion air fan supplies the air required for the combustion process from the combustion air inlet to the evaporator mount.

Heat Exchanger The heat generated by combustion in the heat exchanger is given off to the cold air transported by the heating air fan. Figure 4: Heat Exchanger Evaporator Mount with Combustion Pipe The fuel is distributed via the metal fibre evaporator (fleece) in the evaporator mount. The mixture of fuel and air burns in the combustion chamber, thus causing the heat exchanger to become hot.

Glow Plug The mixture of fuel and air is ignited by the glow plug when the heater is started. The glow plug designed as an electrical resistor is positioned in the burner assembly (evaporator mount with combustion pipe) on the side facing the flame. Overheat Temperature Sensor The overheat temperature sensor measures the temperatures in the fin area of the heat exchanger during the entire heater operation. The control unit evaluates the signal and regulates the hot air outlet temperature and controls the overheating switch-off. Figure 9: Overheat Temperature Sensor Control Unit The control unit is the central component for ensuring the operating sequence.

Fuel Pump The fuel pump is a combined pumping, metering and shut-off system for the heater fuel supply. The Air Top Evo 40 / Air Top Evo 55 heaters must be operated with the DP 42 fuel pump. Switching On Switch on heater. Set the control element to the required temperature. The starting process begins when the room temperature is below the set point temperature. Note: If the room temperature is above the selected set point temperature, only the drive motor with the combustion and heating air fan runs.

Page 17: Control Mode
To increase the burner service life in continuous operation, the delivery capacity of the fuel pump is reduced for 10 seconds every 10 minutes. In addition, the heating mode is briefly interrupted after every 8 hours and then automatically restarted in the same way as for a control break.

Page 18: Fault Switch-Off
Fault Switch-Off Errors on the various heater components and faults in the starting process and in heating mode are identified in the control unit. For safety reasons, the fuel pump will be switched off after all detected faults. The heater is switched off and switches into the fault lock-out mode.

Certain errors result in the errors being added up in the error memory. If the number of errors in the error memory have exceeded a limit, the heater changes over to the heater lock-out. If a malfunction occurs, a flashing code is displayed on the operating indicator or a fault code F .. on the combination timer. In addition, the heater can be checked using a personal computer (see Webasto PC Thermo Test PC Diagnosis operating manual).

Page 22: Error Symptoms During Function
If serious malfunctions, such as overheating or failure to start, occur with increasing frequency, then the heater is permanently locked out and can only be returned to operation following repairs by Webasto trained professionals. When equipped with a combination timer, a fault code output appears on the display after a malfunction occurs until the heater malfunction has been eliminated.

- на АЗС и нефтебазах.
- в местах, где могут образовываться легковоспламеняющиеся газы или пыль, или в местах хранения легковоспламеняющихся жидкостей или твердых материалов (например, рядом с топливом, углем и древесной пылью, местами хранения зерна, сухой травой и листьями, картонными коробками, бумагой и т. д.) .
- в закрытых помещениях, таких как гаражи, не оборудованные вытяжным устройством, особенно без запрограммированного запуска отопления (предварительный выбор времени или дистанционный запуск)

Неправильное обращение
- Оберегайте обогреватель от механических воздействий (например, от падений, ударов или ударов).
- Не вставайте на обогреватель.

Правила и законодательные требования
Air Top Evo 40 | 55 прошел типовые испытания и одобрен в соответствии с ECE-R 10 (ЭМС) и ECE-R 122 (отопитель).
Прочтите и соблюдайте предупреждения, содержащиеся в этих инструкциях по установке и в инструкциях по эксплуатации.

Настройка системы обогрева автомобиля.
ЗАМЕТКА
В зависимости от типа автомобиля система кондиционирования воздуха может выполнять эти настройки автоматически или частично автономно. Попросите вашего специализированного дилера объяснить оптимальные настройки.
- Перед включением отопителя (при включенном зажигании) установите систему отопления автомобиля на «прогрев».
- Установите вентилятор автомобиля на самую низкую скорость (меньшее энергопотребление).
Включать и выключать обогреватель
Нагреватель включается и выключается разными сигналами переключателя.
В зависимости от оснащения системы сигналы переключения подаются переключателем, элементом управления или системой климат-контроля.
ОПАСНО!
Опасность взрыва и удушья
Для автомобилей ADR: Отопитель должен включаться только вручную с помощью выключателя. Нагреватель не должен включаться автоматически с помощью программируемого выключателя.
ОПАСНО!
Возможен перегрев
Аварийный выключатель можно активировать только в случае опасности, так как нагреватель будет отключен без выбега.
ЗАМЕТКА
Всегда выключайте нагреватель с помощью элемента управления. После выключения с помощью элемента управления нагреватель переходит на короткую контролируемую фазу выбега. Неправильное выключение без выбега может привести к повреждению отопителя.
Использование отопителя в транспортных средствах с опасными материалами (ADR)
Для транспортных средств с опасными материалами (ADR) установить время предварительного выбора невозможно. SmartControl (если имеется) показывает, сколько времени работы отопителя осталось (оставшееся время работы).
ЗАМЕТКА
Последующий период ADR применяется в следующих случаях:
- сигнал генератора (D+, световой автомат) прерывается.
- насосное устройство (вспомогательный привод), принадлежащее транспортному средству, приводится в действие.
После окончания периода выбега ADR подогреватель находится в режиме блокировки ADR.
ЗАМЕТКА
Снять блокировку ADR:
- Вывести из эксплуатации насосное устройство, принадлежащее транспортному средству.
- Перезапустите нагреватель, выключив и снова включив его с помощью элемента управления.
Включение отопителя после автоматического выключения
ЗАМЕТКА
Возможна потеря функции обогрева
После автоматического отключения обогреватель может потребоваться снова включить вручную. Нагреватель можно перезапустить, выключив и снова включив его с помощью элемента управления.

ЗАМЕТКА
Не чистите Air Top Evo 40 | 55 с помощью очистителя высокого давления.
Тщательно очистите отопитель с помощью воды и моющего средства, подходящего для чистки автомобилей.
Сбои
ПРЕДУПРЕЖДЕНИЕ
Проверить воздух для горения и выхлопную систему на наличие засоров.
Засорение выхлопной системы или системы подачи воздуха для горения может привести к небезопасному состоянию отопителя!
В случае неисправности элемент управления может указать на неисправность.
Неисправность отображается мигающим кодом или на дисплее элемента управления:
- На элементах управления с дисплеем коды неисправностей F01–F15 выводятся на дисплей. Коды неисправностей с F16 по F19 обозначаются знаком «- -».
- На элементах управления без дисплея (аналоговых) код неисправности отображается в виде мигающего импульса. Импульсы короткие или длинные. Количество длинных импульсов соответствует номеру кода неисправности. F00 просто быстро мигает.
- В случае возникновения ошибки проверьте предохранитель и штекерные разъемы.
- Если неисправность не может быть устранена описанными мерами, обратитесь к Webасто сервисная мастерская.
ЗАМЕТКА
Самостоятельные работы по техническому обслуживанию, особенно с использованием легковоспламеняющихся газов или жидкостей, таких как ускорители, запрещены.

- В случае элемента управления Multi Control/Smart Control отображается сервисный символ.
- На элементах управления без дисплея: индикатор lamp мигает 60 с: горит 1 с, гаснет 1 с.
- Обратитесь к специалисту для проверки обогревателя.
Обогреватель можно продолжать использовать в ограниченном режиме.
Обслуживание
- Включайте нагреватель в работу каждые 4 недели во избежание заедания механических частей.
- Перед началом отопительного периода обратитесь к специалисту для проверки обогревателя.
Распоряжение
Air Top Evo 40 | 55 нельзя утилизировать вместе с бытовыми отходами.
Соблюдайте региональные правила утилизации электронных изделий.
